Official Travel Warning

International Travel Emergencies and Crises

Travel Alert

U.S. DEPARTMENT OF STATE
Bureau of Consular Affairs

January 28, 2011

The U.S. Department of State alerts U.S. citizens to ongoing political and social unrest in Egypt. Violent demonstrations on January 28 took place in several areas of Cairo and other parts of the country, disrupting road travel between city centers and airports. Disruptions in communications included the interruption of internet and mobile telephone service. Given this situation, the Department of State urges U.S. citizens to defer non-essential travel to Egypt at this time and advises U.S. citizens currently in Egypt to defer non-essential movement and to exercise caution. This Travel Alert expires on February 28, 2011.

In the event of demonstrations, U.S. citizens in Egypt should remain in their residences or hotels until the situation stabilizes. Security forces may block off the area around the U.S. Embassy during demonstrations, and U.S. citizens should not attempt to come to the U.S. Embassy or the Tahrir Square area at such times. The Embassy duty officer is available to U.S. citizens for emergencies at +20 1 2797-3300 during evening and weekend hours and the American Citizens Services Section can be reached at +20 1 2797-2301 during business hours, Sunday to Thursday from 8:00 a.m. until 4:30 p.m. and at consularcairoacs@state.gov.

Demonstrations have degenerated on several occasions into violent clashes between police and protesters, resulting in injuries and extensive property damage. While demonstrations have not been directed toward Westerners, U.S. citizens are urged to remain alert to local security developments and to be vigilant regarding their personal security. The U.S. Department of State strongly urges U.S. citizens to avoid all demonstrations, as even peaceful ones can quickly become unruly and a foreigner could become a target of harassment or worse. If caught unexpectedly near a demonstration, U.S. citizens should obey instructions from police and leave the area as quickly as possible. U.S. citizens resident in Egypt should monitor local news broadcasts and U.S. citizen visitors should ask tour guides and hotel officials about any planned demonstrations in the locations they plan to visit. U.S. citizens should carry identification and a cell phone which works in Egypt.

U.S. citizens in Egypt are encouraged to enroll in the Smart Travelers Enrollment Program (STEP) at the following website: https://travelregistration.state.gov. U.S. citizens without internet access may enroll directly at the U.S. Embassy. By enrolling, U.S. citizens make it easier for the Embassy to contact them in case of emergency.

Updated information on travel and security in Egypt may be obtained from the Department of State by calling 1-888-407-4747 toll-free in the United States and Canada or, for callers outside the United States and Canada, on a regular toll line at 1-202-501-4444. For further information, please consult the Country Specific Information for Egypt, as well as the Worldwide Caution.

The Embassy is located at 5 Tawfik Diab Street (formerly known as Latin America Street), Garden City, Cairo. For further information, U.S. citizens may call the Embassy’s American Citizen Services Unit at 2797-2301 during business hours, Sunday to Thursday from 8:00 a.m. until 4:30 p.m. For emergencies after business hours and on weekends and holidays, U.S. citizens can contact the Embassy Duty Officer via the Embassy switchboard on 2797-3300.

Huge? protests in Egypt

Reuters is saying the protests in Egypt are "huge". Although a few thousand people do not equate to "huge" in a country of Millions. Cairo alone has over 18 million people. It's clear Reuters wants to see blood in the street and if that's not happening they (Reuters) will make it seems so.

The violence in Egypt is clearly being led by the poor election losers: The Muslim Brotherhood and they\ir radical buddies in the masjids.

Some bloggers are saying this is a protest against corrpution and a rally for "freedom". I ask you what freedom do they want? Freedom is a rare thing in Islamic Republics, which the Ikhwan are rioting to establish. Unless we are talking about the freedom to rape, torture and murder.

What the hell rights is Hildabeest talking about that Mubarak should respect???? Is it murdering non-Christians or destroying property or throwing fire bombs, attacking police stations and political headquarters? I say "SHUT THE F**K UP YOU STUPID, STUPID DHIMMI!

We should support Mubarak in his attempts to keep the Muslim Brotherhood and their brand of "protest" under his boot heels or they will have their swords at the throats of all those who oppose their reign of terror.

Islamic extermination of Christians

Yes folks, extermination of Christians and Jews is what the religion of Islam is all about. Happening all over the world and coming to our country soon, if people don't wake the H E double L up! They are in place, readying for the imposition of Shariah Law, the same law and treatment of non-Muslims that is currently taking place, for the sake of this writing, I am mainly talking about Egypt and Iraq. In Egypt the Ikhan and al qaeda are kicking up their filthly feet and exterminating Coptic Christians. Iraqi Christians are fleeing from all parts of that country, fleeing from murdering Muslim pigmen, and consider themselves lucky if they can get to Kurdistan. American Islamists and their buddies want this for the U.S.A. (scroll down to read current events to see what's in store for the world if the suicidal liberal idiots continue to support Islamic Conquest.

Some are willing to protest this REAL injustice and barbarity, not the fantasy injustice of the liberal mindset. Oh yea, the kickback is more horrendous, according to media whores and pimp Islamists, than the murder of innocent Christians! Case in point:Mass Murder is now called "religious tenson"!!!

Have you already read or heard the above info from any of the large networks or your local or national newspaper?

Obama's "Big Oil" connection

Big Oil and Brazil

Rise of the Socialist buddies of the world

I can't quite put it together, hopefully, someone else will uncover the connection - I am thinking that the rise of socialism in the U.S., the sabatoge of the BP oil wells in the Gulf of Mexico and the election of Dilma Rouseff to the Presidency of Brazil and the growing Brazilian oil business are somehow connected with the highest ranking Socialists in the U.S.

Of course, the usual media whores and pimps for Socialism are trumpting her election as the first woman President of Brazil, down playing the fact that she is a "former" Marxist rebel. What proof does anyone have that either she or Obama are "former" Marxists.

It all remains to be seen and sniffed out by real investigative Journalists who believe their own nose when they smell a rotten socialist connection. Is it a coincidence that the rise of socialism is making great gains in once representative government?
