CAIR's plan for "winning the hearts and minds" of Americans

Recently obtained, from confidential sources within CAIR, that organization’s 2007 strategy memo. The memo spells out what CAIR aims to accomplish over the next few years. Quoting from the strategy memo we read:

“By December 31, 2010, we [CAIR} will be supporting a $12,000,000 budget…We will have a presence covering all states, with at least 28 state chapters…

“We will impact local Congressional districts with each chapter influencing at least two legislators…We will focus on Congressmen responsible for policy that directly impacts the American Muslim community. For example, Congressmen on the judiciary, intelligence, and homeland security committees. We will develop national initiatives such as lobby day and placing Muslim interns in Congressional offices.

In concert with local chapters we will sustain an ongoing media campaign "to change the hearts and minds of Americans…”

CAIR is just one arm of the American Islamic lobby. We should expect every Islamic organization in America to feel emboldened and empowered by the results of the 2008 election.
